Lance Armstrong’s new Trek Madone art bike will be the work of British artist Damien Hirst. Like Hirst’s butterfly paintings the Madone will be covered with butterfly wings. The paintings use thousands of actual butterflies suspended in paint, but I don’t know if the bike will be using actual butterfly wings.

Damien Hirst with probably his best known piece: For the Love of God. A platinum and diamond encrusted skull that cost $23 million to make and sold to a group of investors for $100 million. I hope Lance doesn’t scratch the bike!
